PAST

The shirt known in Swedish as the 'M60 SKJORTA' is part of the 'field uniform' and was used during representative events or in the barracks. Made of cotton/polyester has been noticed over time that it had a great resistance to wear, came into force in the '60s has gone to replace the old shirts also used during the Second World War of green color. The blue that is used for this garment but more generally for the entire M60 estate is taken from a very similar blue used by the Swedish army in the 1800s.

The M60 was also used when necessary during parades or more formal situations that required the use of the jacket in a darker blue than the shirt, while in the barracks the jacket was replaced by a sweater with reinforcements on the shoulders that resembles the British model "Wolly Pully" but in blue.

On the shoulders of the shirt where there are small buttons, were attached to them the straps of the pieces of fabric, in the case of a soldier graduated on them were applied precisely the degrees.

There is also a very similar version of the M59, this other shirt has the same blue but is heavier because it is lined with flannel and cotton outside. Another small difference are the front buttons that go up to the middle of the shirt. The M60 remained in force for more than twenty years, when it was replaced in the mid 80s.
