Embarking on a trekking and climbing adventure in the unspoiled wilderness. Walking through a pine forest with only the sound of a water stream as the calming, peaceful soundtrack.

Sitting on the grass drinking from a water bottle carried in an alpine outdoor backpack featuring multiple pockets and rubber details.

Observing the beauty of nature with its spontaneous camouflages, from the deep greens and the combinations of browns and reds of the woods to the grays and whites of the winter sky. The same mixes of hues used in the camouflage patterns define the vintage military garments that every season MYAR alters to create new, exciting designs for the urban lifestyle.

For Fall/Winter 2021, MYAR’s military heritage meets an outdoor inspiration, in the name of functionality. As military uniforms, outdoor technical garments protect the body from the natural elements and offer pleasant comfort.

Armed with its signature sartorial craftsmanship, MYAR continues to break new boundaries in the world of upcycling.

While remnants of electric blue Lycra are used to trim each garment, the brand gives new life to deadstock pile fleece which is used to warm up a 70’s military shirt and an aviator  jacket inspired by the B-3 heavy leather flight style, as well as to pepper baggy cargo pants showing Swiss army’s TAZ 83 “pizza” camouflage. Deadstock pile fleece is also added to a revisited American desert camouflage jacket and to a technical Dutch windbreaker, while it becomes the protagonist of a feminine cropped anorak.

In keeping with the outdoor mood, the pockets of Italian Alpini’s military backpacks are applied on Swedish raincoats and rubber coats. If a 90’s Romanian military shirt is manipulated to convey a new oversized silhouettes, women’s pants from the 40’s, originally designed for the female employees of munitions factories, inspire genderless trousers with side-tie closures.

Rendered in the collection’s signature colors, including green, blue and red T-shirts and sweatshirts are enriched with MYAR manifesto prints.

Military garments projected into the natural environment gets an outdoor makeover for an everyday use… Re_purposed, Re_used, Re_functional.
