RE_ENFORCE /FW19

In keeping with its sustainable approach, MYAR manipulates, transforms and re-invents iconic pieces to create an individual and urban wardrobe combining high-end artisanal craftsmanship with a unique style. MYAR re-enforces and re-thinks already existing items to create new signature designs with a utilitarian functionality and metropolitan attitude.

Blankets are reworked to create quilted trousers, vests and sweatshirts.
Overpants are re-proportioned and embellished with pockets and reflective details becoming urban trousers.

The original US Army logo is juxtaposed with MYAR’s on vintage jogging pants dyed in orange, pink and light blue.
The traditional USMC symbol is accompanied by a new customized graphic, composed of the Lion of Venice, the map of Italy and a pair of tailor’s shears.

Reflecting the MYAR creative approach, camouflage patterns are hand printed on Nineties’ college sweatshirts, parkas and cargo pants.

A camouflage Italian Army jumpsuit is re-fitted with a modern silhouette and is decorated with pockets and the MYAR logo printed on the back.
Outerwear linings become bombers and zippered jackets. A cut and paste approach has been applied to sweat- shirts by combining two halves creating something to- tally unique.

MYAR also up-cycled scrap fabrics to create a selection of bags, spanning from totes embellished with herringbone tape to micro styles, including a tiny pouch crafted from camouflage parachute nylon.
