ENGLISH BARRACK SHORT - 1970’s
Light Military green poly/cotton short pants dyed in navy blue with black shiny piping inserted on both sides.
They are part of the uniform used during the North Ireland war in 1969 by the British Army, the so called Pattern 60 uniform.
It was created with removable layers, making it easy to transform and conform to the soldiers’ needs and also assured the troops a huge savings in the long run.
The lightweight trousers were transversely used in many situations because of their composition (poly-cotton twill): they had a robust silhouette even if light.
